About me

Jeffrey Sack, MD, pursued an education in medicine after obtaining his B.A. in Economics in 1983 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He studied at Seton Hall University’s School of Graduate Medical Education after earning his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Wisconsin. Dr. Sack then completed an internship and residency at the New Jersey based St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and obtained his general cardiology education through fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Sack became an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support for the American Heart Association’s Los Angeles Chapter and an Interim Course Director at both Seton Hall University and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Jeffrey Sack taught economics at Stony Brook as a teaching assistant.

Today, Dr. Jeffrey Sack runs a solo practice in Sarasota, Florida, at the Centre for Cardiology, Inc. At his state-of-the-art facility, Dr. Sack concentrates on the treatment and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. He offers a wide range of services, including angioplasty, cardiac and peripheral intervention, echocardiography, EKG, atherectomy, and arrhythmia diagnosis and management. Furthermore, Dr. Jeffrey Sack provides patients with treatment for congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, syncope, valve disease, and hypertension.

Dr. Jeffrey Sack has contributed to numerous medical publications, including the American Family Physician, which published his “New CPR Technique Improves Survival.” He is currently conducting research for eight manuscripts in his field, including “Benefits of a Designated Heart Failure Clinic to Patients with End-Stage Cardiomyopathy” and “Intermittent Outpatient Nesiritide in Patients with Congestive Heart Failure.” Invited to provide an overview of cardiac anatomy and physiology by AbleCare Home Health Services, Dr. Jeffrey Sack also spoke about diabetes and heart disease at the Doctors Hospital of Sarasota’s Diabetes Management Center in three consecutive years.

A voluntary medical back-up doctor at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital and the Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Dr. Jeffrey Sack also offers his time to the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Community Clinic. He donates yearly to the American Cancer Society, the Ringling Foundation of Florida State University, and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center. In his spare time, Dr. Jeffrey Sack performs at various venues playing jazz and classical guitar.
