About me

Johannes is co-founder of Axinom and serves as its CTO. He started his career in web business in 1995 when he founded one of Germany's most successful online e-commerce and auctioning businesses: Atrada Trading Network. After selling Atrada to its strategic investor T-Online (Deutsche Telekom) in 2000/2001 he co-founded Axinom where he currently works as managing director responsible for the company’s strategic technical vision as well as the software and solution delivery methodology..

Axinom creates value for its customers by leveraging cutting edge technologies to design, build, and deploy scalable and reliable Web platforms and End2End media solutions on the Web and for mobile devices. Axinom today is one of Europe’s fastest growing IT companies and won Delloite's Fast50 Award. As a technology specialist Axinom helps leading WebTV / IPTV / OTT brands innovate and break new ground. The company’s projects and products won numerous awards, the German IPTV Award being one of them.

Johannes received a master’s degree of computer science from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He has an extensive background in web application development, IT administration, systems analysis, and design. He has over 15 years of technical and business experience, with expertise in all aspects of architecting and publishing online media. Johannes' unique understanding of both design and back-end systems allows him to help clients realize their product's full potential.

Most recently his focus has been on Web media strategies and consulting on key Video-on-Demand, IPTV, and OTT deployments in German-speaking market such as ZDF, Pro7Sat1 maxdome, MSN Germany and Sky. Johannes has been closely involved with digital media technology development at Microsoft for past 8 years. He was named one of Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals.
