ABOUT ME: Sparking connections for growth
I am a business catalyst - connecting the right people, to the right ideas, to the right opportunties, at the right time. This makes things happen, and often on a large scale than anticipated. That is my spark.
This how I serve my business clients and friends, especially those who see business as a creative living art form, as a means to transform and improve the situations of people.
Everyone has a spark!
It can be hidden but it is there.
My passion is to find and develop your spark, grow it into a fire that warms people, businesses and sends out a glow of enthusiasm, that becomes infectious for all that come into contact with the individual and their business.
I say all people have a spark, and they do. For entrepreneurs it can be easier to find, they are driven by a sense of purpose. For senior management and leaders of industry it can be lost in the practical drive to satisfy shareholders, customer and suppliers.
The effect of not knowing what makes you spark, the passion that is within you and the business you serve, can make powerful changes to your business. The ‘spark' is what matters. Finding the ‘gem' that makes someone unique is exciting and once I find it I become equally passionate about making their business successful.
I have an emotional, practical, and operational methodology that I apply to this process, and here are some examples of where this has worked for me:
- Shell Bahamas, Recovery of number 1 position to market share pre-loss levels after 8 years of decline, within 18 months
- Philips Electronics HQ - BU - from number 50 to number 1 market leader in EMEA within 18 months
- Quality winery quality brand leadership established within 18 months; triggered a perspective shift in the market towards a young wine quality wine industry as a catalyst in establishing market credibility that today, 20 years later, is one of that country's great successes.
- IBM designed, and drove growth initiative for countries with large SMB segments, supported by IBM EMEA, UK and NL.
To drive growth there is the expensive way and then there is the smart way. My story is based on leading drives for rapid growth, translating strategies into energized action in a variety of organisations on both sides of the Atlantic.
25 years energizing growth for business, I am a catalyst. I firmly believe that "work as organized play" is the essence of good business.
I enjoy making creative combinations both in business, whether with new technologies and market combinations.
