About me

Jürgen Brock, PhD was Vice President Marketing at AutoScout24, a leading European automotive Internet portal, before co-founding BeG. Previously he was Senior Director and Head of Strategic Marketing for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Europe’s leading provider of IT solutions. He held various sales and marketing positions in the IT industry since 1993 when he started his career at Apple, where he successfully executed one of the first integrated online marketing campaigns in 1996.
Jürgen also holds Honorary Senior Research Fellow positions for Marketing and International Business respectively at the Department of Marketing, University of Strathclyde and the University of Glasgow. In addition, he serves as a Guest Lecturer in Online Marketing at the Technical University of Munich.
A member of the American Marketing Association and the Academy of International Business, Jürgen is the author of a number of conference papers, and journal articles in leading international publications such as Journal of International Business Studies, Industrial Marketing Management or Internet Research.
In 2004 he was the winner of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Foundation Awards Visiting Scholars Travel Grant.
