- Abitur
- Speditionskaufmann gelernt (Seehafen, bis 1986)
- ein paar Jahre in dem Beruf gearbeitet (Luftfrachter/Zoll bis 1989)
- Wirt.Ing. Transportwesen/Logistik gebaut (HS Bremerhaven, bis 1994)
- ein paar Jahre als Logistiker gearbeitet (Beratung/Planung, bis 2000 )
- seit 2000 in der Software-Qualitätssicherung tätig
 
Hauptsächlich tummele ich mich in den Bereichen Qualitätssicherung (QS), Qualitäts- und Testmanagement (QM, TM). Ganz allgemein gesprochen, besteht meine Aufgabe darin, Leuten in Softwareprojekten das Thema Qualität näher zu bringen - sei es nun durch Schulung, durch Überzeugung oder durch das Treten in ein paar Hinterteile. Der abgedeckte fachliche Bereich reicht dabei von Logistik- über Telekommunkations- bis zu Versicherungsunternehmen, wobei ich die Logistik wegen meines beruflichen Werdeganges bzw. und aus Neigung favorisiere.
 
Einsatzgebiete sind dabei QS-Massnahmen über alle projektrelevanten Prozesse, von der Anforderungsanalyse über Konfigurationsmanagement bis zum Test der fertigen Software in (fast) jedem Stadium. Von daher bin ich als Vermittler zwischen Fachseite und Entwicklung zu etwa drei Vierteln Prozessmensch und zu einem Viertel Techniker. Dabei habe ich im Lauf der Jahre so ziemlich alles gesehen: von der Softwareneuentwicklung über Änderungsprojekte bis zur Migration, von GUI-Anwendungen über SAP bis hin zu Hosts, von Testdurchführung über Zertifizierungen bis zum Testmanagement.
 

Persönliches in aller Kürze:
 
Vor längerer Zeit fragte ein Kollege, was ich für eine Einstellung zum Leben hätte. Ich musste über diese sehr allgemeine Frage etwas nachdenken und dann antwortete ich mit der Schilderung einer Szene aus einem Film mit Marlon Brando. Der hiess glaube ich "Der Wilde" (The wild one) und ein noch ziemlich junger, gertenschlanker Brando spielt darin den Anführer einer Rockerbande.
Er sitzt also in diesem Cafe und die Kellnerin kommt herein.
Sie: "Sag' mal, seid ihr nicht diese Rebellentypen, von denen alle reden?"
Brando nickt.
Sie: "Gegen was rebelliert ihr eigentlich?"
Brando stutzt und schiebt sich dann gekonnt die Leder-Schiebermütze nach hinten.
"Tja, Schätzchen - was hast Du denn anzubieten?"
 
Und das ist im Wesentlichen, wie ich die Welt sehe.
 
Filmfreunde bitte ich um Nachsicht, wenn ich den Dialog nicht ganz richtig wiedergegeben habe ;-) Und falls sich jetzt jemand wundert, wie man so leben kann, hier die Antwort:
- lebe Dein eigenes Leben (mit dem anderer Leute ist noch nie jemand glücklich geworden)
- nach Deinen eigenen Regeln
- und halte diese einfach.
Also habe ich von denen genau 3 (in Worten drei), die ich nie breche:
(1) Nie der Erste sein.
(2) Nie der Letzte sein.
(3) Sich niemals für irgendwas freiwillig melden.
 
Alles andere ist Verhandlungssache. Hinweis: die meisten Leute halten mich für etwas...seltsam ;-)

Und wegen der gelegentlichen Fragen zum Foto: das habe ich hier drin, weil es eines der wenigen Fotos von mir ist, das nicht für ein Fahndungsplakat taugen würde (bin halt etwas kamerascheu). Es handelt sich um den Ausschnitt aus einer Aufnahme, die ich mal auf der Spiegelinstallation einer Bundesgartenschau geschossen habe – das Fotografieren ist eines der wenigen Hobbies, die bei mir die Jahre (und den arbeitsbedingten Rückgang der Freizeit) überdauert haben.

Main areas of my present job are quality assurance (QA), quality- and test management (QM, TM). Generally spoken my job is to take care that anyone in a software development project understands the concept of quality assurance – by training, by persuasion or sometimes by kicking up some backsides. The professional areas covered are reaching from logistics over telecommunication to insurance, where logistics is my personal favourite due to my professional background.
 
Involved are all QA-measures taken in software projects like requirement management, configuration management and software testing. Viewed from this angle I am a moderator between the business experts and the software developers, process-orientated by three quarters and technician by one quarter. Time flies and eventually I could apply as a member of the “been there, done that”-club: from software development to migration, from GUI-style to host, from tester to test management.
 

Brief personal overview:
 
A time ago a collegue of mine asked me what my attitude to life is. I had to think a moment and then replied with a quote from a movie with Marlon Brando. It was „The wild one“ and a young and tall Brando played the leader of a motocycle gang. He sat in a café of a small town and the waitress entered the scene.
She: “What're you rebelling against, Johnny?”
Brando hesitated and moved his leather cap back.
“Whaddya got?”
 
And that is the world according to Kai F.
 
Movie fans please excuse if I did not quote the scene exactly ;-) And if you wonder, how it is possible for someone to live this way here is the answer:
- live your own live (with the life of someone else you won’t get happy)
- follow your own rules
- and keep these rules plain.
For myself I have 3 (in words: three) of those:
(1) Never be the first.
(2) Never be the last.
(3) Don’t volunteer for anything.
 
Everything else is subject to negotiation. Hint: a lot of people see me as a little strange ;-)
 
And concerning the photo: the one published here I chose because it is one of the few which could not be used for a list of wanted criminals (I am just a bit camery-shy). It is just a detail of a photo taken at a mirror installation on a German garden convention. Photography is one of very few hobbies which stood the test of time (and the decrease of spare time eaten by my job).

こうした経緯により、私自身を「物流業」と「ソフトウェア開発」の二つの観点から分析した場合、私は75%が物流プロセスに携わる専門家であり、25%は技術者であると考えております。

長年の仕事を通じて、あらゆる事を学んで参りました。

個人情報
 
随分前になりますが、人生観について、同僚に尋ねられたことがありました。
このごくありふれた、しかし漠然とした問いに、私はしばらく考え込んでしまいました。そして、マーロン・ブランド主演の映画の一シーンを引用することで、この問いに答えることにしました。
その映画のタイトルは「乱暴者(あばれもの、原題: The wild one)」です。まだ若く、スリムだったブランドはこの映画で暴走族のリーダーを演じていました。

以下が問題のシーンです。
彼はある喫茶店 に入りました。するとウェイトレスが来て尋ねます。
「ねえ、あなた達、ひょっとして皆が噂してる 暴れ者じゃないの？」
ブランドは頷きます 。　
「一体、何に対して反抗してるのよ？」
ブランドは一瞬戸惑います。そして慣れた手つきで皮のハンチング帽のつばを後ろに回し、こう言いました。
「ふむ、お譲さん。--この店じゃ何が飲めるんだい ？」

ここに私の人生観が集約されています。


映画ファンの皆さん、もしこの場面のセリフの引用に間違いがあったらごめんなさい 。;-)
でも一体、どうすればこんな風に生きることが出来るのか？
以下が私なりの答えです 。


- 自分自身の人生を生きること(他人の人生をなぞって、幸せになった人は居ません。)
- 自分自身のルールに従うこと
- そのルールをひたすら守ること

これを踏まえて、私がこれまで一度も破った事が無い、そしてこれからも破らないであろうルールが3つあります。
(1) 決して一番にならないこと
(2) 決して「最後の人 (the last)」 にならないこと
(3) 決して自分から志願しないこと

これさえ守れば、後はすべて交渉の範囲です。

参考までに申し上げておきますが、たいていの人は私のことを、何と言うか…ちょっと変わった人だと感じるようです。;-)  それから、何度か聞かれたことがあるので、プロフィール写真についても説明しておきます。
この写真を選んだ理由は次の通りです。-- 私は写真に撮られると、まるで「お尋ね者」のように見える事が多いのですが、これは「お尋ね者」に見えない、数少ない写真の一つなのです。(私は写真に撮られるのが苦手なのです。)
この写真は、以前ドイツのガーデンショーで鏡を設置した際に、鏡に映った自分を撮影 したのですが、その切り抜きです。

私は趣味に乏しい人間ですが、その中でも写真は長年続けてきた(仕事の関係で、自由に使える時間が年々減って来ているにも関わらず、です)数少ない趣味の一つです。
