About me

Kent Swig has spent his entire professional career in the real estate industry. As a graduate of Brown University and having attended Hastings College of Law, early in his career he held positions with both The Macklowe Organization and Swig, Weiler & Dinner Development Company. Mr. Swig has interests in multiple real estate businesses, and in real estate properties throughout the country. He is active in several professional organizations serving as a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Builders and Owners of New York (ABO), the Board of Directors of the Realty Foundation (receiving its 2005 Man of the Year Award), the Downtown Alliance, and Wall Street Rising. Mr. Swig devotes time to philanthropic and community projects as a member of the Board of Directors of Central Synagogue, and as president of the American Friends of The Jaffa Institute and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Israel Bonds (receiving Israel ’s Peace Medal in 2003), as well as political causes, including both Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and UNA-USA.

Mr. Swig is the President of Swig Equities, LLC, an acquisition and development firm that concentrates on properties in New York City and the state of California and is an affiliate of Inlet Capital Management, LLC; owner of Falcon Pacific Construction, which handles the construction needs of Swig Equities; owner and co-chairman of Terra Holdings, which controls various leading residential real estate firms and brokerages (Brown Harris Stevens, Halstead Property Company, Feathered Nest) in and around New York, as well as the brokerage, appraisal, and consulting firm Vanderbilt Holdings; owner and acting President of Helmsley Spear, LLC, which was founded in 1866 and today continues to play a leading role in office and retail leasing, asset and property management, and investment sales; managing member of the Hudson Land Company, a firm that focuses on title insurance for commercial and upscale residential properties in New York; and a Principal in and Board member of the family-owned Swig Company, a private investment company based in San Francisco and New York.
