I am interested in consulting on challenging software development and integration projects that give me the opportunity to take emerging technologies to the next level and apply them to business problems. I am available for full-time consulting during the summer break (mid-May to late August) and winter break (mid-December to mid-January). My Specialties:

Programming languages; software architecture, components, frameworks, and design patterns; concurrent and distributed systems, including service-oriented and event-oriented architectures; mobile and embedded computing; human-computer interaction; and educational technology.

Current Activities:

+ Applied research in the above-mentioned areas, including publication of peer-reviewed articles and supervision of student research. Engaged in the development and delivery of computer science courses, especially at advanced levels. Involved in strategic department service, including the shaping of undergraduate and graduate curricula.

+ Senior project personnel on the federally funded Community Information Technology Entrepreneurship Project (CITEP), focused on accounting software for not-for-profits and small businesses.

+ Program Committee Member, IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2007).

+ Department Editor for Scientific Programming, IEEE Computing in Science & Engineering (CiSE).
