About me

The fusion between technology and social issues drives me. Since early age I was interested in information technology and computer science, but in high school I majored in modern languages (German, English, French and Italian) and later did my degree in Information Technology (Wirtschaftsinformatik). After my first steps as a Systems Engineer at Ciba and IBM I joined the Software company Day, who is now a part of Adobe, and worked as a training manager there. I loved to work at a new company full of possibilities and to shape training. From Day it took courage to join a big corporation again and I started with Novartis to work in their HR communications department, where I learnt a lot about tight deadlines and high professionalism. I stayed with Novartis for 4 years where I worked in Online Communications and SAP. Sometime in 2007 I decided to follow my interest in sociology, social issues and technology and start an executive master in social informatics at the University and University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen. During my studies I worked at Syngenta in Online Communications and thereafter joined a national training center for the Blind and Visually Impaired where I do projects in the area of IT, education and computer science for the blind.
