About me

MY BACKGROUND

Since 1996, I have been a Web & Software development executive with a vast experience building subscription applications as well team building, management and sales. My career highlights include:

- After Graduating from college in 1995, I worked on dozens of local and regional film and video productions in various capacities giving him a detailed understanding of the visual production process on small and large shoots.

- In 1996, I taught myself Web design and HTML basics an quickly a resume Web sites at my first company, Wynne Wireless Services, which I co-founded with my now wife, Angela. The Web site became an industry favorite in the wireless recruiting market, written up in several trade publications.

- I Joined WebServe, Inc. in early 1997. WebServe was one of the earliest and largest Web Design, Hosting and ISP’s in the state of North Carolina. Not long after joining the firm, I was promoted to managing the Design/Development team.

- In 1998, I left WebServe and joined the InterNET Services Corp and created their first subscription service Website called “The Future of Business”, ultimately subscribing 24,000 at $11.95/month, the fastest selling product in InterNET Services’ 29 year history. I was very proud of that accomplishment and it showed me the true power of subscription based software delivered on the Internet.

- In 1999, I co-conceived, managed the development and sold subscriptions to i-REP, an insurance Web interface tool that allowed Independent agents to offer online policy services from their agency management systems.

- In 2000, I rejoined WebServe where I led the entire production team, created “EmailServe” (a SaaS email marketing platform) and eventually “UltraPromotion" (a powerful sweet of promotional tools and a first inspiration for what is now WAM). I also managed the merger of two disparate development teams during WebServe’s acquisition by CTC ( a regional telecommunications company). After the completion of the merger, I tried to expand my personal career and joined the sales force where I was the top selling sales rep for 10 of 11 months I was on the team, ultimately hitting 128% of my quota for the time period (not one other rep hit even 60% at the time. Unfortunately, CTC did not share the vision of Ultrapromotion and Emailserve, nor did they see it's true potential and closed the WebServe operating unit in October 2002, laying off the entire WebServe sales, design and programming staff.

- The layoff by CTC was what I term a "Crime of Opportunity". It pushed me into executing on my entrepreneurial desires and on October 10th, 2002, I launched New Way Media. I took my knowledge of the many different SaaS products I had developed over the years and created the blueprints for what is now WAM.

- In 2006, I accepted a purchase agreement and cash infusion to expand my company as New Way Media was acquired by Manitboa, Ltd, and investment group based out of the state of Florida led by one of the most interesting investors I have ever met. New Way Media Corporation was formed (we had been an LLC prior to that) and I of course received shares of stock in the new company and was appointed CEO by the board of directors and I sat under the investor, who took on the position of Chairman.

- In January of 2007, I launched a wholly owned subsidiary called iMeasure Marketing corporation. iMeasure is a full service, integrated marketing agency that has a unique model for providing Web design, print, multimedia and other services for businesses.

-In June of 2008, I had the experience of being exited from New Way Media by the Chairman of the Board and investor. It was 2 years to the day from when we signed off on the purchase agreement. It was for all the wrong reasons and he actually lied about why. He just as easily could have said it was about what the real problem was, not growing revenue sufficient to projections. For that fact, I accept my dismissal with some level of empathy and complete gratitude for the opportunity. It's rather ironic though... He had all the right reasons to use and chose instead to falsify information (that's what I get from dealing with lawyers I suppose). Life is an on-going lesson. It was thus far the greatest experience of my professional career and I still hold the investor and New Way Media/iMeasure in high regard.

-In July of 2008, I came on board with AmeriStart. This will be a new frontier for me. I still get to be an entrepreneur and owner, but I've found a great combination in the 3-way partnership we formed. I'm looking forward to this exciting new phase of my life.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

I have been happily married to my beautiful wife, Angela since September 20th, 1997.

On June 22nd, 2007, my wife Angela gave me the greatest gift in the entire world, a son. Griffin Amherst Pitre. The joy and love I have for him are incalculable.
