About me

My professional life I dedicate to making the world a more digitally sustainable and open place. Networked digital communities and the power of crowd-based approaches fascinate me – in public, business or non-profit settings. Therefore, I combine professional research and consulting work with advocacy for these new models of value creation when supporting organisations (as employers or clients) on this path.

I am a strategic thinker with strong analytical and social skills and have experience working in or leading multicultural teams. Mostly, I am more interested in creating the new than in improving the old. :-)

I am a lecturer at ETH Zurich on “digital sustainability” and do regular public or private speaking engagements (talks, lectures, executive training) on topics around open government, open data, open innovation, open source software, and open standards.
