Mit vier Jahren spielte ich erstmals gehörte Songs auf dem Klavier nach. Mit sechs bekam ich den ersten klassischen Klavierunterricht. Drei Jahre später schrieb ich meinen ersten Song. Bereits mit zwölf Jahren saß ich in unserer Kirchengemeinde an Orgel und Klavier und hatte meine ersten „Gigs“. Zu dieser Zeit drehten sich abwechselnd Beethoven und Jean Michel Jarre auf meinem Plattenteller. Gleichzeitig entdeckte ich das Blues Piano für mich. Neben den Blue Notes erfuhr ich noch viel mehr, dass Musik unendlich viele Facetten hat.

Mit 15 experimentierte ich mit meinem ersten Synthesizer und machte erste Erfahrungen im Studio und auf Tour. Im Alter von 22 Jahren begann ich ein klassisches Klavierstudium an der Musikhochschule Detmold, Abt. Münster. Den Abschluss machte ich 2001. Während des Studiums Mitbegründer der Band „the jazzjerks“

Neben Tournéen u.a. durch die USA und Kanada als Pianist Solo und in verschiedenen Formationen folgten Komposition, Musikproduktion und Studioarbeit.

„Es gibt keine gute oder schlechte Musikrichtung.
Es gibt nur gut oder schlecht gespielte Musik.“

Zur Zeit komponiere, arrangiere und produziere ich Musik für Klavier und für verschiedene Besetzungen, toure als Pianist Solo und mit der Band „the jazzjerks“.

I started playing the piano when I was four years old. At the age of six, I had my first classical piano lessons. Three years later, I wrote my first song. When I was 12, I was already sitting at the organ and piano in our church congregation and had my first gigs – while Beethoven and Jean Michel Jarre took turns on my record player. At the same time, I began exploring the blues piano. Besides the blue notes, I discovered more and more that there are infinitely many facets to music.

When I was 15, I experimented with my first synthesizer and went into the studio and on tour for the first time. At the age of 22, I began studying classical piano at the Detmold Academy of Music, (Münster department) and graduated in 2001. During my studies, I co-founded the band, “the jazzjerks”.

Tours in various countries, including the USA and Canada, as a solo pianist and in different ensembles were followed by composing and producing music and doing studio work.

“There’s no such thing as good or bad directions in music.
There’s only well played or poorly played music.”

I currently compose, arrange and produce music for piano and different instruments, and also tour as a solo pianist and with the jazzjerks.
