Marius is an innovative and goal-orientated manager with a solid background in Operations, Logistics, Projects and Information Systems. Experienced in managing diverse, multi-cultural and functional teams from diverse backgrounds, he excels in the analysis of key processes, identifying improvement opportunities and successful implementation within the scope of the organisational strategic vision.
He has graduated with diplomas in Business and Production Management through the Institute of Management, South Africa, and obtained a diploma in Business Management and Administration through the Institute of Commercial Management in the United Kingdom. He has completed his MBA reading, with his dissertation addressing “The inhibitor effect of human assets in the dissemination of business intelligence”. Marius holds various IT related qualifications in the Microsoft and Cisco arenas.
In addition, as
a self-employed creative professional, he is a member of the Southern
African Freelancers Association (SAFREA), an active member of the
Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA), and has a Licentiate
membership with the Professional Photographers of Southern Africa (PPSA). He currently serves on the committee of the Boksburg Camera Club as the chairman since 2010. Operating as Umthunzi
Images, he specializes in events, projects and studio photography. He studied at the National College of Photography,
and cut his teeth on corporate events and product shoots. ◊
