About me

Markus joined Avail as Director Product Management and Client Success in March 2010. He is responsible for maximizing the value of the Avail product to existing and prospective clients. Furthermore he is in charge to work closely with Avail customers to incorporate customer requirements into the upcoming product releases to make the Avail product even better. In this context Markus will assist customers to succeed in business by providing extensive merchandising experience and his knowledge about the Avail solution.
 
Before he joined Avail he was the Head of the E-Business Solutions department at Neckermann.de in Germany. In that role Markus was responsible for the conceptual design of e-Business activities and the User Experience Management. In this context his intention was to create an online shopping experience focused on user-friendly processes and innovative applications to drive value for the customer, boost conversion rates and maximize ROI.
 
Prior to this position Markus led the eCRM-Systems-Team and was accountable for all eCRM, M- and T-Commerce activities at Neckermann.de. Furthermore he established an individual shopping experience to derive the most suitable offer for every online-shopper.
 
Markus is also an expert in OnSite search engines and played a key role in a front-end redesign project at Neckermann.de which was awarded 'Best Online Shop in Germany' in 2004 by the Federal Association of German Mail Order Traders who particularly emphasized the OnSite search process.
 
Markus began his career at Neckermann.de GmbH in 2002 and has a degree in Business Administration. In addition he studied at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia to broaden his extensive e-commerce know-how.
