Personal information

Matthias Zänsler is an industrial designer specialized in product, furniture
and concept design. He is currently based in Halle (Saale) / Germany. He
studied industrial design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design
and completed his master’s degree in summer 2011. In addition to his studies,
he financed himself with graphic design jobs. He spent a year in Switzerland
and completed a semester abroad at the University of Applied Sciences North-
western Switzerland, Academy of Art and Design (Basel / Aarau) and an intern-
ship at the tribecraft AG in Zurich at that time. Since 2010, he is a part of the
research project fourfiveX.

His son Frederick was born in december 2010.

Through the graduate program of Burg Giebichenstein he has the possibility
to represent himself at some design fairs like designers open (Leipzig), Design
Parcours Ehrenfeld (Köln), blickfang (Stuttgart) and Salone Internazionale del
Mobile (Mailand).
