Hakkımda

Ich bin in Berlin geboren und aufgewachsen, lebe nun seit ca. 13 Jahren in Nordfriesland. Seit vielen Jahren bin ich glücklich verheiratet mit Francis, einem Schotten.

Seit ich einen Stift halten kann, beschäftige ich mich mit mit Malen, Zeichnen, aber mache auch FIguren, Schmuck und entwickelte auch selbst einige Techniken. Musik war für mich auch lebenslang einfach immer da und auch wichtig, da ich aus einem musikalischen Haushalt komme. Meine Mutter hatte Klavier studiert und mein Bruder Konzertgitarre. Ich selber verliebte mich schon als Kind in die Alte Musik, die mir (und auch meiner Familie) damals gar kein Begriff war. Anfang für mich war die Titelmelodie des damaligen Matinee im ZDF, das viele wahrscheinlich haute auch noch kennen werden.... aber auch die traditionelle Musik der britischen Inseln und der Kelten interessierte mich damals und etwas später kam die italienische traditionelle Musik dazu. Ich spielte auch selber in mehreren Gruppen, meist Folk, aber auch gemischt mit Alter Musik.

Mein Mann ist ein richtiges Multitalent: Er hat eigentlich mal erfolgreich als Architekt gearbeitet, aber er kann so etwa jedes Instrument spielen, dass man ihm gibt. Er spielt aber nicht nur viele Instrumente, sondern baut sie auch selber, denn er hat Gitarrenbau und Lautenbau in London studiert und konstruiert auch alle Pläne für seine wunderbaren Instrumente. Er teilt mit mir die Liebe zu Italien und zur Alten Musik sowie eine Neugier, die uns bei unseren Forschungen nach alten, verlorenen Instrumenten, Klängen, Spiel- und Bauweisen zu interessanten Ergebnissen geführt hat.

Ach ja, natürlich koche und esse ich gerne, besonders italienisch. Ich interessiere mich für alte Kochbücher und historische Rezepte, die ich oft viel interessanter als exotische Rezeptie mit von weit her eingeflogenen Zutaten finde, auch wenn man die ganz alten oft ein bissel aktualisieren muss...

Außerdem liebe ich Italien:
Kultur, Küche, Geschichte, die italienische Renaissance, die Maler der Renaissance, ganz besonders die Alte Musik (Renaissance und Barock) und "Musica Etnica" (traditionelle Musik), besonders die Taranta/ Tarantella und Tammuriata Süditaliens mit ihrer jahrtausende alten Tradition. All dies inspiriert mich bei meiner kreativen Arbeit und ist nun auch Teil meiner Arbeit

I was born and raised in Berlin, have been living about 13 years in North Friesland. I am happily married to Francis, a Scotsman.
Since I can hold a pen, I am working with painting, drawing, but also do figures, jewelry and developed some techniques. Music was for me always there, and also important because I come from a musical household. My mother had studied piano and my brother classical guitar. As a child I fell in love with Early Music that I (and my family) at that time have never heard of. Beginning for me was the theme melody of a programme in German TV. Celtic traditional music of the British Isles interested me since my teenage days and later the Italian traditional music found me. I also played in several groups, mostly folk, but also mixed with Early Music.
My husband is a real multi-talent: he has been working successfully as an architect, but he can also play about every instrument that he gets his hands on. He plays many instruments, but also builds them himself, for he has studied guitarmaking and lutemaking in London and also designed all the plans for his incredible instruments. He shares my love of Italy and ancient music and a curiosity that has led us to our research of old, lost instruments, sounds, playing and construction methods to interesting results.
Oh yes, of course I like to cook and eat, especially Italian. I'm looking for old cookbooks and historical recipes that I often find much more interesting as an exotic Recipes with ingredients flown in from far away, even if the very old recipes often have to be a little updated ...
I also love Italy:
culture, cuisine, history, the Italian Renaissance, the painters of the Renaissance, the Early Music (Renaissance and Baroque) and "Musica Etnica" (traditional music), especially the Taranta/Tarantella and Tammuriata from southern Italy, with its thousands of years old tradition. All this inspired me in my creative work and is now an important part of my work.
