Organisation Brief: Meridian is a British MNC, having operations in 7 countries. We own the mobile phone brand “Fly”, which was launched in India in May 2006. The brand today is 6th largest in India and is among the fastest growing handset brand. We specialise in High end and the mid segment of the market and outsell hugely popular and advertised brands in this segment. As a result of innovative Channel structure and cutting edge Sales Management Process, we have 2 % market share overall and over 6% share in High end segment. The company is poised to clock turnover in excess of 1000 Cr in fiscal 2008-09.

• Member of core Management Committee, consisting of The CEO, COO, CFO, the Marketing Head and myself.
• Directly responsible for 4 Functions of the organisation, namely, Operations, Business Analysis and MIS, Operator Business and Project SAP
• In charge of entire back end processes for the organisation, including Stock allocations among various channels, all stock movement right from import to tertiary, PO generation and billing, Channel claims and rebates, aligning logistics and service functions as per sales requirements.
• Custodian of all reporting in the organisation. Responsible for all Business Analysis and strategy formulation.
• Actively involved in Sales & Distribution and Sales Management Process.
• Single handed negotiated and signed the pioneering Reliance Communications All India Bundle Deal. First Handset Company to get free Life Time SIM cards from Reliance without any spend committed on ATL. The Operator business team now is working on circle level operations. Also finalised agreement with Vodafone in 3 circles.
• Negotiated the terms and appointed Brightpoint as the National Distributor for Handset bundle business vertical.
• Conceived the SAP project for the organisation. Prepared the pre project requirements and made the Business Blue Print with the vendor, KLG Systel. Interface between the Meridian core team and the KLG technical team for all the demos and customisation. Project ready for roll out in October 2008.
• Involved with South Asia roll out of Meridian. Envisaged the business model for SAO. Responsible for scrutiny of business partners, selection of manpower and launch plan. Bangladesh ready for takeoff in July 2009.

Sept’06 – Sept’07 HEAD- NEW BUSINESS
(HARYANA CIRCLE)
VODAFONE ESSAR LTD (HUTCH)

• Business Head for New Business - Haryana circle.
• Leading a team of New Business Manager, PCO Head, FWP Head and Head Corporate Sales, who have their individual down line verticals.
• In charge of distribution of both prepaid and post paid verticals in new towns launched and new coverage areas in existing territories.
• Responsible for Top Line, Bottom Line and EBIDTA for the vertical.
• In charge of New Town launch for Haryana. Responsible for distribution spread planning, Prepaid and Post paid product pricing and launch campaign.

• In charge of company operation in Meerut Zone territory, comprising of 11 districts.
