Nancy has utilized her facilitation, marketing, communications and management abilities for over 25 years in the broadcast media, not-for-profit and business communities. As founder of Full Circle Associates, a communications and collaboration consultancy, she helps non-profits and businesses connect through online and offline strategies with a particular interest in the application of online interaction tools and techniques to virtual teams, communities of practice, in international community development, and with all types of learning communities.
Nancy is recognized internationally for her leadership and expertise in the emerging field of online group facilitation and interaction, seeking to understand “what works and why.” She has innovated new online and blended interaction formats for groups and practices what she preaches as a skilled online facilitator and coach for distributed communities of practice, online training and education, distributed teams and online communities.
Nancy is an active presenter, chronicler and was one of the first to document and collect online facilitation resources (
http://www.fullcirc.com/community/communitymanual.htm). She has taught the original online workshop, Facilitating Online Interaction, since 1999 (
http://www.fullcirc.com/ws/onfaccourse.htm) and hosts the "Online Facilitation" email list. She blogs (

Nancy frequently presents at conferences, online gatherings and meetings about the integration of online communications tools and techniques into overall communications strategies, particularly for non-profit and social change organizations.
Nancy brings both depth and breadth of experience, having run an Internet start-up company and held positions including marketing, public relations, government relations, project management, and video production. Her Emmy award-winning communications experience includes KIRO Inc.’s “A World of Difference Campaign,” numerous health and social service education campaigns and event marketing. Her media experience includes CBS affiliate KIRO TV and radio. She was a programs and communications manager at the March of Dimes for seven years.
Nancy graduated from Duke University and is a confirmed chocoholic. She is proud to learn daily from her two nearly grown sons and husband in Seattle, Washington.
