Planning the Communications internship and networking fair at the University of Houston-Downtown. Adding to our current contact list of communication companies to invite to the fair. Recruiting communication companies to attend. Getting word out to students through various communication campaigns (flyers, speeches, telephone calls, emails, letters, etc.). Planning the logistics of the fair. Evaluating the fair for preparation for the following semester.

Writing press releases, media alerts. Planning Mayor’s public schedules. Writing letters of correspondence, and greeting letters from the Mayor. Researching and conducting open records requests. Staffing the Mayor for various events within the city. Drafted/updated spreadsheets for open records requests

Worked with vendors to identify accuracy in orders. Conducted training classes for newly hired employees. Administered and scored weekly proficiency assessments. Coordinated employee team-building events. Recruited staff and scheduled interviews for prospective hires. Assisted customers in identifying food and beverages preferences. Identified solutions to resolved customer concerns.
