Just some short info about myself
 
Work
I am a freelance trainer, consultant and developer on Microsoft platforms. In they heyday of the new economy (nowadays fondly remembered as "Web 1.0") I used to work at an internet agency which I co-founded (h3l new media, based in Stuttgart), where I got to experience the highs and lows of this exciting time. Today I am concerned with topics such as Windows automation (WSH, ADSI, WMI, PowerShell), enterprise level SQL Server administration (and a bit of development), Active Directory internals and systems programming, mainly in C#.

My Academic Pursuits
I am also currently a part-time student of cultural anthropology, computer science and philosophy at the university of Tuebingen, Germany. I plan to complete my studies with a magister degree (roughly equivalent to a master's) sometime in 2009. My main areas of academic interest are internet-based ethnography/ethnography of the internet and popular culture (cultural studies), philosophy of mind and philosophy of science (philosophy) and operating systems, data bases and agent-based computing / semantic web (computer science).
