About me

I'm a Computational Linguist, with a background in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. I have 10+ years of experience in IVR speech recognition and text-to-speech related projects, both commercial and research.

My work has given me a broad foundation in computational linguistics, including corpus-based methodologies, phonetics/phonology, ASR/TTS/SV tuning mechanisms and acoustics.

I am currently finishing PhD research in Computational Linguistics at Potsdam University. The focus is on modeling and building spoken dialogue systems that work incrementally. My past research interests have included Generative Syntax (esp. applicability to Hungarian), language evolution and origins, computational models of the mind and cognitive architectures.
