About me

Dr. Oliver McGee III brings a diverse range of education, experience, and accomplishment. He currently oversees Partnership Possibilities for America, a premier consulting group, and serves as a professor with Howard University, the largest predominately black university in the U.S. today. In 1997, Dr. McGee founded Partnership Possibilities for America, the thriving Washington, D.C.-based firm through which he continues to offer consulting, research, development, and support services. A renowned administrator, teacher, researcher, and advisor, Dr. Oliver McGee III has provided exceptional professional assistance to a range of clientele in both public and private sectors. He serves major governmental, education, philanthropic, and corporate institutions, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the White House. Dr. Oliver McGee completed an MBA through the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2004, and he holds both a PhD in Engineering Mechanics and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, earning his doctorate while concomitantly securing a minor in Aerospace Engineering. Dr. McGee also possesses a BS in Civil Engineering through Ohio State University and maintains LL.B. candidacy with the University of London. Beyond this, he has engaged a range of additional academic endeavors through a number of distinguished institutions, including the Council for Excellence in Government, the American Association of State Colleges & Universities, the Aspen Institute, Harvard University’s Law School and John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the United Kingdom’s University of Cambridge. Dr. Oliver G. McGee III has also attended the Advanced Management Program and the Private Wealth Management Program, earning the Certificate of Professional Development offered through the University of Pennsylvania’s distinguished Wharton School and the Institute of Private Investors. He maintains ongoing membership in the National Association of Corporate Directors. Dr. Oliver McGee III commands a spectrum of seasoned professional experience. Dr. McGee has garnered numerous awards at both the national and state level in recognition of his educational and engineering-oriented efforts. He won a NASA Faculty Award for Research in 1993, secured a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1991, and received recognition as the State of Georgia Professor of the Year in 1995, a joint award offered through the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Dr. Oliver McGee was also named to Science Spectrum Magazine’s 2004 Fifty Most Important Blacks in Research Science and Science Spectrum Magazine’s 2005 list of Top Minorities in American Research Science. Having published research journal articles covering an array of interdisciplinary subjects, Dr. Oliver McGee III currently serves on the Board of Editors of Computer Modeling in Engineering and Sciences. An accomplished public speaker, he has delivered lectures, led seminars, and given presentations to several universities and governmental groups, including MIT, The Ohio State University, NASA, and the U.S. Air Force.
