Phanos Pitiris has a diverse experience in the high technology markets of United States, Europe and Israel combined with a solid foundation and experience in strategic management, sales, marketing and international relations. Through the various positions he has held, Phanos developed the practical know-how required towards the formation and acceleration of innovative, start-up companies coupled with a solid experience in venture capital. Previously, Phanos served as Group Manager for Programs and Marketing of the D@ta Group, a Unisys partner, from 1999 till 2001. He was responsible for driving the strategic programs of the Group in E-Business, Solutions Integration and SinglePoint as well as its marketing activities.
From 1992 till 1998, Phanos served as the President and CEO of a high-tech company in the US. He led the company to the development of pioneering technologies in areas such as PC/TV and neural networking based, computerized portable devices for Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE). The pioneering work of the company in PC/TV technologies was featured in leading world publications such as PC Magazine and its NDE solutions found their way to the research labs of NASA, Ford Motors and the US Navy. From 1995 till 1999, Phanos also served as a partner in an e-Business venture which developed, among others, solutions for state and federal agencies such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (US).
Phanos currently serves in the General Commissariat of the Boy Scouts of Cyprus and is the President of AHEPA Cyprus. Among others, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Management Association, EBN, IASP, NBIA, an alumnus of the European Venture Capital Association, a Board member of the Cyprus-American Business Association and a member of the investment committee of Infinity II, a $64 million venture capital fund based out of Israel.
