About me

Robert Jones, M.D. is a hair transplant specialist based in Ontario, Canada. Robert Jones earned his M.D. from McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine and currently specializes in Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), an advanced hair grafting technique. Dr. Robert Jones is a pioneer and authority on FUE hair replacement, offering advanced solutions for people experiencing hair loss. Dr. Jones personally performs every patient’s transplant at his Oakville, Ontario, office. Located near Toronto, Robert Jones’ hair transplant practice serves patients from Canada, the U.S., and abroad. The transplants Dr. Jones performs have a natural appearance, often a difficult feat to achieve. Many patients seeking a permanent solution to hair loss have found that Dr. Robert Jones’ methods produce noticeable improvement. In 2002, Robert Jones was among the first doctors in North America to perform Follicular Unit Extraction and has since perfected FUE. Hair grafts created using Follicular Unit Extraction are virtually undetectable, and the procedure is performed without a scalpel. FUE involves removing hairs from a donor area, such as the chest or back, and transplanting them on the scalp. Donor hair is carefully inserted into tiny 0.7 to 1 millimeter slits on the patient’s bald spot. The individual hairs are aligned side by side for up to 60 grafts per centimeter squared. In addition, each graft can comprise either a single follicle or include up to four hairs. Due to the incredibly precise nature of this procedure, hair transplants performed using Follicular Unit Extraction produce results that mirror a patient’s natural growth pattern. Local anesthetics are used during the procedure, ensuring that patients experience no discomfort. The newly transplanted hairs are strong and healthy, resulting in continued hair growth.
