Im Moment übernehme ich erst einmal die englische Beschreibung - so bald wie möglich werde ich die Übersetzung hierhin stellen.
Before passing to my profile I would kindly ask you to visit this website as well - it's a project for translators and writers and the organisers need as much help as possible:

Just some very short notes:
I am a freelance translator working in the following language combinations: German-Italian-German, English-German and English-Italian. Besides the translation service I provide project management services for multi language projects helping my customers to search for the translators needed for the other language combinations. In order to have a meeting place for people searching for language specialists and language specialists the '<a href="http://www.ecademy.com/module.php?mod=club&op=page&c=947">we solve it - languages</a>' club was founded. Please feel free to <a href="http://www.ecademy.com/module.php?mod=club&op=page&c=947">join </a>us, search for professionals or ask anything you would like to know about translation/localisation/internationalisation.
My background: Business Management (University of Salerno, Italy), EDP specialist (Drexler, Regensburg, Germany), Language specialization as foreign correspondent for English, French, Spanish (Berlitz, Regensburg, Germany) - just to insert some notes.
What I like most in my job: organizing, translating (interesting themes), resolving problems for my customers (e.g. a website programmer who did not know how to visualize well Arabic script since they never worked directly in html - it was just one command and the charset, but it made the difference)
My hobbies: my twins - digital photography - reading (preferably e-books so any hint on where to find interesting ones is welcome) - website programming (just for fun) - learning new techniques (that can help me with my job) and much more.
Of course I should give some more info - but on one hand it would become a lot to read and not everything is interesting to anyone - so if you have specific questions just ask and I will answer you.

Together with some colleagues we are creating a translator's portal - a place where to exchange experiences and learn together - a place to collect ressources.
