About me

Sascha Funk
 
Right now I am based in Thailand and rocking the educational system as well as the online world over here. That doesn't mean that I stopped being active working in other markets as well - luckily the internet is everywhere.

Before taking the adventure I worked in different New Media agencies in Austria and studied 8 semesters of Businnes Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg. I wrote my thesis / final paper while working at Searchmetrics GmbH in Berlin, Germany.

My majors during my studies focused on electronic commerce (eCommerce) were espacially online marketing, search engine optimization, search engine marketing and usability.

Besides these majors, subjects like software engineering, software quality management, it organisation and project management have also been an important part of my studies.

Furthermore I enjoyed attending some non-mendatory subjects like intercultural communications, spanish, italian, soft systems methadology & cross media publishing.

The indisputable highlight of my studies was my internship within Amblique Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia. Definitely the most impressive experience so far.

Certainly there is more to life than work. So I try to relax while enhancing my spanish and english skills, painting the web 2.0 red and doing some sports like volleyball, beachvolleyball, squash, biking and running...
