In 1996 Silvester founded Hsing Consultancy and SurfSupport.nl, two of the first web development consultancy firms in The Netherlands. From 2002 on, he advised multiple companies on their marketing/online strategy and helped developing new innovative psychological profiling/segmentation models.
His combined background in computer science, marketing, psychology and philosophy made him an expert in the field of behavioral targeting. Back in 1998 he was one of the first to successfully apply consumer profiling, collaborative filtering and mass customization concepts to e-commerce and e-business platforms.
Silvester was a teacher for the post-doctoral course E-Business and a teacher at SRM for the Nima A and B courses for many years.
In 2009 he published his first book called 'Creatieve Appels en Quantum Peren'.
