About me
Steve Wandler is an adept businessman from a small Canadian town named Cold Lake. As the Founder and CEO of YourTechOnline.com, Steve Wandler has made it possible for thousands of people to access easy to understand advice and assistance on how to fix their PCs. Wandler started answering YourTechOnline phone calls out of the restroom of his job at a steel fabrication company. As the recipient of several honors, including being named 2004’s “Technology Business of the Year” by the Business Development Bank of Canada, 2005’s “Editor’s Choice” by PC Magazine, and 2007’s “Small/Medium Business of the Year” by PC Magazine, YourTechOnline.com became hugely successful. In fact, Steve Wandler was able to sell the company to California-based Support.com (where he now holds a Senior Leadership position) in an extremely lucrative business deal in May 2008. A Board Member of the Okanagan Science and Technology Council, Steve Wandler has made it one of his goals to help create a bridge between Canadian high-tech companies and the Silicon Valley.
Mr. Steve Wandler advises fledgling firms by sitting on their advisory boards including Vineyard Networks, Groovesystems, Debt Monkey and Qasper.com. Steve Wandler is a passionate leader who enjoys sharing success strategies to businesses around the globe.
Although he has many responsibilities tied to work, Steve Wandler finds plenty of time to assist his community. Steve Wandler was a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters for 5 years and for Ironman Canada Triathlon from 1997 to 2008. Steve Wandler’s most ambitious project, however, is trying to bring more easily accessible technology to Africa by providing support and training to African Nationals in charge of the networks for schools, hospitals, and health care centers through his company.
In his limited spare time, Steve Wandler enjoys playing competitive sports- particularly hockey (for which he was once scouted by the Kamloops Blazer WHL hockey team). In addition, Steve Wandler enjoys reading and few of his favorites include “The Five Temptations of a CEO,” “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team,” “Good to Great,” and the classic “How to Win Friends and Influence People”.
Steven Wandler currently works in California’s Bay Area and the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada.
