About me

Hi, welcome to my "About me" page - just figured out that I might get a new profile picture or edit the existing one! Lost at least 15-20kg since that mugshot was taken...

Update March 2013: Hangzhou is, for gods sake, history (I didn't like it at all as it is raining all the time and the food tastes like s..t) and I moved forward to Yangzhou (lived in Yizheng but now I moved to Jiangdu). Food aint better, but it is not as humid anymore. Might update my professional experience soon, as it is quite outdated, but as Xing isn't my main social network anymore (LinkedIn is ;-)) this might take another month or two. Have to settle down first! Send me a PM if I got your attention - be more social...

Update April 2012: Took the plunge 5 months ago and moved back to Hangzhou. Had a damn cold winter, but it is getting better and better ;-)

Update August 2011: Another year went by and I haven't made any significant update to my about me page. To be hounest I am getting bored by my so called existence in Germany and might move back to China sooner or later (or to some other destination in Asia, as it is getting damn cold in the Shanghai area where my "better half" is located).

And here what I wrote about 10 months ago:

How did that happen? I was way to busy in the past years. Have had my own pub in Central China, commited social sucide and, in the meantime, got fluent in Mandarin Chinese and made some great friends.

Yes, I have had a great time and still do! Now I'm back in Germany, some option I wouldn't even have thought about a year ago, as I am about to found a new start-up with an old friend. So here we go, the story continues.

I'll be retired by age 40, so better contact me now!
