About me
Together with my colleague Robert Wiechmann I wrote the book "Scrum in der Praxis" (german) which is a practical guide for not yet experienced Scrum Masters and agilists, helping to avoid common mistakes by offereing lots of tips.
Please find my services offered below. There are some references available as well.
Agile Project Management and Coaching with Scrum and Kanban
You heard about agile methodologies and would like to try them with a pilot project? You’re already using Scrum or Kanban but you’re not sure if you get all the benefits? I could join your project either as an Agile Coach or as operative Scrum Master / Product Owner, helping your team actively living agility instead of just reading about it.
My credo: Don’t do agile, be agile!
Agile Workshops for Teams and Management
People are talking about agile management and agile software development and you wonder if these can provide an additional value also for your company or department? You would like to get an overview what impact Scrum has on the management? You want your teams to get to know the Scrum basics without visiting a certification course?
Since many years I’m dealing with agility and as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). I accompanied several organizations setting up and following the rules of Scrum and Kanban.
Please contact me for individual inhouse trainings and management workshops.
Interim Management
You have a vacant management position but haven’t found a fitting candidate so far? Or the new guy canceled a few days before his first workday? Or a department should be developed, restructured or disintegrated? Or there’s a transition to be supervised?
I have several years of experience in structuring and leading complex teams and I’m used to being the “information broker” between the board and the employees. Just contact me.
Project Portfolio Management
There are lots of ongoing projects in your company, but you lack an overview concerning costs, milestones, potential synergies? You don’t know, what projects are still being executed, who commissioned them, who is responsible for them or if they offer a benefit for the company at all?
Let’s discuss taking some initial “clean-up” actions and then putting some processes in place to avoid such a scenario in the future.
Traditional Project Management
You’re going to commission a major project but you lack employees with the necessary management skills? Or the possible project managers are bound by other projects and can’t take on an additional project?
I’m a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with many years of experience. Together we will lead your project to success.
Please feel free to get in contact if you need a service which is not explicitly listed above or which is a variation. I’m looking forward to your message.
A few more things you should know about me
My personal conduct and leadership style are defined by cooperation and constructive partnership with employees and customers, as well as striving for optimum service and maximum satisfaction among customers.
In my opinion, executives are best measured by their employees’ performance and enthusiasm, which is why I help my employees to become independently responsible for their respective duties. My experience in personnel selection and management has given me good powers of judgment in assessing the capabilities of individual employees.
Cost consciousness and attaining the greatest possible benefit for clients have become second nature to me in the course of my day-to-day work.
My willingness to innovate and implement regular reviews of existing procedures and workflows helps me continually to expand my horizons and steadily to improve myself and my work environment.
