About me
Over the years we have developed our business to serve legal counsel throughout Europe, Southeast Asia (I was admitted as a Foreign Lawyer in Singapore in 1993) and most recently, the United Arab Emirates, with offices in Vienna, Singapore and Ras Al Kaimah. I have professional working experience of UAE / Middle Eastern construction, property law and company set up, including taxation as well as working experience of Singaporean, South American and Indonesian law. I am a frequent speaker in seminars on European and Middle East business law.
I am a member of the Austrian Bar Association and the Singapore Law Society.
Since 2005 (when I was admitted as an International Legal Consultant in the UAE), International Legal Consultants have been in the unique position of being the only law firm north of Sharjah with close contact and experience with the Ras Al Kaimah Government. This emirate is currently enjoying the status of being one of the most rapidly emerging free zones in the Middle East.
My interest lies in not necessarily being the biggest law firm, but certainly being the best in our field, by developing our already existing specialist knowledge of UAE real estate and business law.
The aim is to be flexible in our fee structure by way of hourly billing, project (lump sum) fees or by working on a retainer - whichever best serves our client. For us, it’s about building mutually beneficial, longstanding relationships and respecting our clients’ legitimate objectives. Our pride is in our ethical and professional approach of giving the best advice we can; and by keeping our clients informed and involved in the decision making process, they are part of the ‘partnership’.
To summarize, my approach to the practice of law is to develop a collaborative relationship with my client - a philosophy that sets us apart from the rest!
