Work experience
 
Since mid-2003, Thomas Dahlmanns works as an international interim manager and project-manager in the sectors Internet, Web 2.0, eBusiness and life-science. From 1996 until 2003, Dahlmanns held several leading positions with Pixelpark AG (Bertelsmann Group). For three years he was managing director and for six years technical director of Pixelpark's Hamburg branch. In his last position, Dahlmanns was responsible for the international IT-strategy, the partner-management as well as the German partner sales channel. In 1996, Dahlmanns worked as Head of development for CKS digital world GmbH and was responsible for the implementation of the world-wide internet presence of Lufthansa Infoflyway. From 1992 until 1996, Dahlmanns was research asso-ciate and software developer at Hamburg University Hospital - Eppendorf. He was doing research in the areas medical volume-visualisation and surgery-simulation.
 
Education
 
From 1990 until 1995, Dahlmanns studied computer science (major) and medicine (minor) at Hamburg University. In 1992 he became a member of the research team at Hamburg University Hospital - Eppendorf, where he wrote a diploma thesis about surgery-simulation and 3D-computer graphics. After finishing the diploma, Dahlmanns took up a doctoral candidate's position for a year. From 1997 until 2003 he attended many international advanced education programmes about a broad range of subjects: such as the leadership-programme of the Bertelsmann AG and the business administration programme at St. Gallen University and St. Gallen Business School. During the winter term 2001/2002, Dahlmanns held a casual lectureship at Fachhochschule Lübeck, teaching software engi-neering and project management. Furthermore, Thomas Dahlmanns is NLP-Master (DVNLP), Mediator and Synergos Trainer.
 
Skills
 
Because of his leadership qualities, Dahlmanns has got the ability to motivate a team of interdiscipli-nary experts and guide them to collectively achieved top performances. Thanks to his many years of experience as technical leader as well as account manager in many large-scale projects, Dahlmanns has got excellent know-how in the fields technology, project- and product-management as well as team leadership and sales and marketing. Throughout the successful and target-oriented implemen-tation of projects of highest technological standards, Dahlmanns always played the role of a precur-sor. Many of his projects won awards and are regarded as state of the art. Dahlmanns works as a lecturer in Germany and abroad. He lectures on software development and project- and quality-management. In 1996, his work at Hamburg University Hospital was awarded the "Videopreis der Deutschen Röntgengesellschaft". Dahlmanns mother tongue is German, he speaks fluent English.
