PROJECT MANAGEMENT, Telco – (01/11 to 05/11)
I was responsible for a project that was dealing with security requirements for the storage of personal user data in a DWH environment.


PROJECT MANAGEMENT, Telco – (02/10 to 12/10)
I joined the project when it was short before the software development phase. I was acting as a coach for the initial Project Leader of a project that integrates two Data Warehouse environments. After the initial project leader leaves the project I took over the responsibility for the project as a Project Manager. Due to the challenges in the integration process between the two compannies (that where in the process of merging) it was my responsibility to improve the set up of the project. I implemented the appropriate methodologies and measures to optimize the control and therefore the outcome of the project. He was also responsible to monitor and give guidance to the delivery partners of the project in terms of scope, budget and quality.
Initial the project was in trouble and close to be terminated, but I was able to identify the problems and to take corrective actions. I finalized the project successful, the deliverables are now into production.

Due to my outstanding knowledge and experience in the project management profession I was assigned as an Independend Reviewer for a larger eCommerce project, that is delivered using agile methods (Scrum). PROJECT MANAGEMENT, Internet Service Provider – (04/09 to 12/09)
As a Project Manager, on a project that upgrades an existing internet portal for a major German ISP, I led a team of 6 Sales Specialists, IT Architects and Delivery Partners. The team was spread out across Germany and was mostly working remote. Deliverable of the project was an extension of the business logic which was implemented in the portal framework.

As a Project Manager, on a project that performs a proof of concept for an Enterprise SOA Architecture at a large mobile carrier, I led a team of 16 team members (in peak times). The team consists of SOA Architects, Delivery Partners (for SW Development), Sales Engineers and Support Service engineers. The project goal was to design a flexible and high available solution for a new enterprise SOA bus architecture. The design was documented and implemented in a test environment.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT,  Internet Service Provider– (11/06 to 06/08)
As a Project Manager, on a project that develops an internet portal for a major German ISP , I was accountable for the whole project life cycle from the pre sales phase up to hand over in to operations. Deliverable of the project was a new customer internet portal for several Mio users. The project team consists of Sun staff and Delivery Partners, was distributed over 3 countries and was organized as a virtual team. The project organization was based on a detailed process- and communication model to avoid miscommunication between the team members,
The Hardware and Software infrastructure and a sopmyticated role & security model for the portal were developed. It enabled the customer to change and expand the content of the portal in a fast, secure and cost efficient way. Due to the complexity of the project for the customer I also supported him with advice regarding project management and IT operations for the new environment.

INTERIMS SENIOR PROJECT ADVISOR, Education – (11/05 to 11/06)
As an Interims Project Manager, on a project that implements an online education portal for an online learning provider,  I was responsible for auditing the project and giving advice to the board how to proceed with the project, which was out of control and missing the triple constraints (scope, cost, time). He led a team of 16 specialists from Sun Microsystems and a partner company, which was located in Austria. The compiled results of I`s project audit enabled the board to get an understanding of the actual project status and of necessary corrective actions.

PROJECT/MIGRATION MANAGEMENT, Finance – (01/05 to 10/05)
As a Project Manager, on a project with the goal to migrate terabytes of data to a new storage infrastructure and to implement a new backup environment,  I was responsible for the complete project life cycle from pre sales to handing over the solution to the IT operations department from the customer. The existing storage systems and the associated backup environment should be replaced through a new StorageTek disk subsystem and a new flexible HSM backup environment. The new HSM backup infrastructure enabled the customer to be compliant with new laws regarding prolonged data retention periods

My key responsibilities included:
•    Leading the BID Team
•    Management of the project taking under consideration of tailored Project Management Methods. Through the use of tailoring the project was managed in a cost efficient manner
•    Assuring IT Operations without service interruption through a risk management plan and a sopmyticated migration plan
•    Migration performed without any problems.

As a Project Manager, on a project that defines a concept for an identity management solution for 80 Mio. subscriber at a large Telecommunication company, my key responsibilities included
