About me
Is living and working as an artist in Sint Oedenrode, a village in the south of Holland. Since Tineke’s middle school years drawing has been her biggest hobby. This existed mainly from making pencils and pen drawings. In the years eighty Tineke Kleij had education on the Free Academy Veldhoven during a few years. She made a few oil paintings. Since 1999 she has been more active as an artist in her paintings. She went to “Atelier Inge” in Helmond en followed her training to end 2004. Besides pastel chalk Tineke works at the moment with acrylic paint on linen.
A part of the universe
Tineke finds it delicious to be allowed to be a part of this universe. She invites you in her gallery. Visit with her the mountain on which she is now at this moment. She has plod and has struggled. Her body is fortunately still there for her. No more sickness. No more pain. No surplus of tears anymore. Yes, now she can enjoy the peace in her. All luggage has been left behind. Each day there is more space for painting, for life and enjoy. Her view is tremendous. Do you want to discover more? Her heart is big enough ........... Enjoy all the colours of her paintings. They can help you to heal, to focus or to enjoy more of your live.
The inspiration
For Tineke Kleij it is a privilege to be allowed painting. She loves the colors and forms. To be allowed to put her positive energy in every painting, earthly and spiritual. Every painting a reflection of who she is. She can get inspired by what she sees or has seen, feels or has felt. She can get inspired by the emotions which come into her. Motivated by the contact of those which she encounters on her path and/or by her long walks in nature. Consciously or unconsciously experienced. Tineke also let inspire herself by music and meditation. This music can be from Meat Loaf (Paradise by the Dashboardlight), hard rock to very sensitive spiritual music and almost everything between. Every painting is for Tineke a step further on her way to harmony and joy.
Tineke has for this a fine studio, “a Room of One's Own” (Virginia Woolf), in which she can retreat and devote herself to her newest creations.
Her freedom
The paintings which you see on Tineke’s website are old creations, study material and her newest creations. Her last creations have been based on one of the highest goods life is based on. Freedom. The freedom of thinking and the freedom of imagination.
Sponsoring Kunst voor Vrede – Florence Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea
Geachte heer, mevrouw,
In 2001 heeft de Verenigde Naties de Florence Biennale erkend als een officiële partner in hun programma “Dialogue Between Civilizations”. Daarom wil ik dit bericht graag beginnen met een uitspraak van Kofi Annan over vrede en kunst.
“I believe that dialogue is an oppertunity for people of different cultures and traditions to get to know each other better, whether they live at opposite ends of the world or in the same street. Artists have a special role to play in the struggle for peace. Artist speak not only to people but for people. Art is weapon against ignorance and hatred and a representative of human conscience. Art opens new doors for learning, understanding and peace among people and nations.”
Ik ben zeer vereerd dat ik door de Florence Biennale als kunstenaar benaderd en uitgenodigd ben om deel te nemen aan de eerstvolgende Biennale die wordt gehouden van 5 t/m 13 december 2009 in het historisch “Fortezza da Basso” in Florence. Dit zeker omdat het item vrede mij heel erg aanspreekt, iets van mij is.
Deze Biennale kent geen publieke c.q. private financiële sponsoring. De kosten worden gedragen door de kunstenaars zelf. Zij mogen, onafhankelijk van de Biennale, in totaal 5 sponsors in hun land van herkomst zoeken. Bij toezegging van een sponsor zal de organisator, Arte Studio, een formeel verzoek aan de sponsor toezenden. De namen van de sponsors worden gepubliceerd in zowel de catalogus als op hun website (

Het totale bedrag wat door mij voldaan moet gaan worden om deel te kunnen nemen aan de Florence Biennale, de Biennale van Vrede, bedraagt € 2.700,00 (€ 2.250,00 en 20% BTW ad. € 450,00).
Het zou heel fijn zijn als u een van mijn sponsoren wilt zijn voor deze Biennale van Vrede.
