Über mich

Just out of university I successfully co-founded a company which let me find my way to open source. Now I am an active member of the open source hemisphere as well as a technical writer. Although I have been involved in several communities, my main contributions and publications are related to projects of the Apache Software Foundation. I am member of several PMCs and an elected member of the foundation. As often as possible I speak at conferences and my involvement let me represent Apache on the JSR199 Sun JCP expert group as well as at some more educational events. My technical expertise helped to create enterprise level software that demanded high scalability and availability. Some of the code I've written is powering products and services of well known companies around the world. (Deutsche Post, Dell, Facebook, IEEE, Joost, O2 and Vodafone - to only name a few)
