Die Familie und Freunde von Devon sind traurig und verärgert über die Darstellung der Polizei und damit einhergehend der Medien.
 
Was ist zwischen 3.00 Uhr und 4.00 Uhr passiert? Nach übereinstimmenden Zeugenaussagen der Bandmitglieder und seines Freundes wurde er um 3 Uhr noch als "beschwipst aber nicht betrunken" beschrieben. Dann ist er plötzlich verschwunden. Weniger als eine Stunde später finden ihn andere Zeugen hilflos und nur bedingt artikulierungsfähig auf dem Gehsteig liegend? Freunde und Familie kennen Devon als zurückhaltenden und verantwortungsvollen jungen Mann. Ein plötzliches "zudröhnen" passt so gar nicht in zu Devon.
 
Von da nehmen Spürhunde die Spur zum Main auf und es wird im Main ein Schuh gefunden, der von Devon stammen könnte. Und da es keine anderen Hinweise gibt, wird mal eben erklärt, dann sei er wohl besoffen in den Main gefallen. Damit haben wir dann unsere Erklärung.
 
Auch Familie und Freunde sehen sehr wohl, dass es eine hohe Wahrscheinlichkeit gibt, dass Devon im Main ertrunken sein könnte. Bevor der Körper gefunden wird, bleibt es aber nur eine Wahrscheinlichkeit.
 
Und die Umstände sind und bleiben völlig ungeklärt. Für die Annahme, wer sei halt besoffen reingefallen, gibt es genauso wenig Grundlage wie für alle anderen Möglichkeiten auch.

Letzter Update zur Suche nach Devon vom 10.12:
Was können wir noch tun? Gestern abend sahen 4,54 Millionen Menschen den Fall Devon auf Aktenzeichen XY. In nur zehn Tagen haben wir es geschafft ,sieben Berichte über sein Verschwinden ins Deutsche Fernsehen zu bringen. Es gibt zahlreiche Zeitungs- und Onlineberichte. Frankfurt haben wir mit Flyern zugepostet. Auf Facebook ist die „Find Devon“ Gruppe auf über 7.000 Mitglieder angestiegen. Das einzige was es nicht gibt, sind Hinweise.
Die letzte Aktion: Ein kurzes Video über Devon auf Youtube: Die Idee: Wenn genug Menschen dieses Video anklicken kommen wir auf die Startseite und Devons Bild wird weltweit gesehen.

Letzte News vom 5.12.:
As of 7:15 p MST, 3:15a Frankfurt time, there are still 15 people out walking the streets of Frankfurt looking for Devon Harper Hollahan, that are refusing to turn in and call it a night.
 
I want to thank EVERYONE that has been helping look for him; with a special thank you to the employees of Morgan Stanley and their families, the forum members of toytowngermany.com, those of you that drove for countless hours from Holland and Belgum to make it to Frankfurt, and the citizens of Germany that showed up this evening. The entire Hollahan family and extended family members thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
 
I spoke with Beth Hollahan and she said that Devon's Army went thru the entire city this evening and was amazed by how many people are in their own way helping out. Jeff walked into restaurants to ask if they had seen Devon and the staff would point to a flyer that was already hanging up with Devon's information on it. Random passerby's on the street would pull them out of their pockets when offered a flyer.
 
There was a reporter still with them, when I spoke with Beth, that has been following the manhunt all evening. It seems that Devon's story is well known now throughout the entire city.
 
Additionally, Beth informed me that there have been several leads this week from individuals that have seen Devon. These leads are being followed up with and hopefully soon one will lead to Devon. Regarding his backpack that was found; the contents were papers from school and work, his digital camera (their were no pictures on the camera) and an ATM receipt from Prague. There was NO form of identification in his bag.
 
Letze News vom 27.11:
Hier die letzten Informationen zur Suche von Devon, die ich gerade von seiner Tante erhalten habe:
“Jeff and I will be in Frankfurt on Monday morning. We want to gather as many volunteers as possible to work with us. He and I are staying at the Marriott closest to the US Embassy. I will get an address from Jeff later. Jeff is currently being interviewed for US national news programs. The story will go at least to all of the US in the morning. Hopefully CNN or someone will get the story internationally. I will send links to the broadcasts when available. The band that Devon saw has been very responsive. They met him (Josh knows the band from Denver), they hung out together after the show and two of the band members shared a taxi with Devon and Josh. They took a taxi from a concert venue called Batschkapp to the Hotel Luxor. All four people left the cab. The band members went to a kebab house next to the hotel. Josh and Devon were presumed to be walking to or towards the train station. The band members also confirmed that Devon and Josh had had a few beers but were not drunk. The band is called “Portugal. The Man” or PTM to those in the know. Their website is http://www.portugaltheman.net and they have posted info about Devon on their home page and tweeted their entire fan base. Wow – totally impressed with the band and their management.
 
Can you start posting to all your networks that we need volunteers to help with the actual searching. They can contact me or you (if okay with you) to let me know they will come help. Again – meeting site will be announced later.”
 
Inzwischen unterstützen auch die ersten Zeitungen in Deutschland die Suche. Sowohl die Bildzeitung als auch die Frankfurter Rundschau haben online Beiträge geschaltet. Da ich selbst hier in Kapstadt, Südafrika lebe würde ich mich freuen, wenn mir jemand hier im Forum Bescheid gibt, sollten die Artikel auch im Print gedruckt werden.
 
An alle die bislang schon so tatkräftig unterstützt haben vieln Dank. Ich brauche wohl nicht zu betonen, was dies für die Familie bedeutet. Wer sich am Montag etwas Zeit nehmen möchte, um den Vater und die Tante vor Ort zu unterstützen, mögen bitte diesen thread weiterverfolgen, ich poste hier die entsprechenden Informationen.

Die Familie hofft auf weitere Berichte. Am Montag werden sein Vater und seine Tante in Frankfurt eintreffen. Ich werde eine separate Meldung posten, falls sie Freiwillige zur Unterstützung brauchen.
Seit dem Verschwinden hat es weder Mobiltelefonaktivitäten, noch Bankabhebungen, Kreditkarten oder irgendwelche Aktivitäten von seinen Social Media Seiten (Facebook, etc.) gegeben.
 
Ich habe jetzt ein Flugblatt zum Download hinterlegt. Falls Sie einen Beitrag leisten wollen, hängen Sie doch bitte das ein oder andere Flugblatt in Kneipen, Geschäften, Taxis oder anderen öffentlichen Stellen aus!

Vom 23.11.:
My son, Devon Hollahan, disappeared in Frankfurt, Germany on Saturday, November 21st at approximately 3AM, local time. Devon and his friend, Josh Friedman, had taken a train from Prague, where they both live and work, on Friday, the 20th to attend a concert in Frankfurt and to stay for the remainder of the weekend. Both Josh and Devon had purchased round-trip train tickets.
 
According to Josh, they had enjoyed the concert, attended the "after party", and had taken a cab to central Frankfurt to look for their hostel. They had been drinking. Beer, mostly and, according to Josh, they were "tipsy", but not inebriated. After looking for several minutes, Josh stepped away from Devon to ask a couple of bystanders for directions. When he turned around, Devon was nowhere to be seen. After attempting to text and phone Devon numerous times, Josh gave up and went to the hostel. The following morning, he checked with the hostel to see if Devon had checked in on his own and found out he had not. He also checked a couple of other nearby hostels to no avail. At some point Saturday, Josh contacted the Frankfurt police and the US Consulate to file a missing person report. He waited for Devon at the train station at the appointed departure time, but Devon never showed up.
 
Josh called me from Prague at around 3PM MST to give me the news.
 
We have German-speaking friends who called the Frankfurt Police to consider options, but the police weren't terribly receptive. At 12:30 AM, Monday morning, I called the US Consulate and spoke to Franz Seitz who was already familiar with the case. We spoke for 30 minutes. Mr. Seitz was very receptive and helpful. We discussed Devon's credit card activity, which wasn't (and still isn't) unusual. He had made 2 stops at ATMs in addition to purchasing train tickets in Prague - nothing since. Early this morning, I received an email from Mr. Seitz indicating the had checked ambulance services, hospitals and jails with no results. I believe the consulate has spoken to Mr. Friedman at least once and maybe twice.
 
I am obviously concerned for my son. Always an independent soul, he is also responsible and diligent. This type of behavior is totally out of character.
 
Devon Hollahan is 22 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. When last seen, Devon was wearing a green, plaid shirt, jeans, a black work jacket (sport coat?) and a tan cap. He was last seen in the vicinity of the Taunusalange metro station in central Frankfurt. Pictures are attached.
