Having inherited the "nomade genes" of my parents I moved around a bit before settling down in this town of 70.000 (40 klicks south-east of Hamburg), 11 years ago.
I spent some time in Madrid where my mother used to live and study. Then I moved to New York and what was meant to last a year, turned into eight. My father's siblings emigrated from Germany to the States when I was little, so I guess you could say that I keep up the family tradition :-)
I am the single Mom of a wonderful 11-year-old boy that is the apple of my eye.
A few years back I started teaching English.
I teach at adult education schools. For the most part I prepare people for their "English for Business" exams at the LCCI. I also work with underprivileged teenagers and teach English to "Safety and Security Specialists".
Futhermore I interpret at various courts and police departments.
I feel tremendously lucky to have a job that I truly enjoy.
I'm still looking forward to new challenges and wouldn't mind packing my suitcases once again and move to another country. Always open to suggestions ;-)
