Since starting my career within the executive search sector, I have been deeply interested in the motivations surrounding career change. As the market continues to change and evolve, so does the sophistication and self-awareness of candidates in the market. But even as the market changes, organisations evolve, and incentives multiply, at the core one point always remains; improvement. Every candidate will always seek improvement in his or her situation – the big challenge is understanding what represent improvement to any individual.

What I offer every candidate is an opportunity to explore their own sense of value. Using my outsider’s perspective as a mirror, they can assess their own experience and value, less coloured by the glare of a corporate culture machine. With a greater awareness of value we are all able to measure improvement with greater certainty. If you are reading this section following my request for dialog regarding an opportunity, be sure you will get, at the very least, someone who will challenge you to assess your value in a new light should you be ready to look in the mirror.
