Profile
I grew up bilingual (Swiss German, French) and my childhood’s personal interest was always firmly based in theatre communications. This interest has now been developed into one of my best skills. By choosing Latin and Philosophy as focuses in high school, I advanced these skills to an even higher level. Seeking to diversify and expand my experiences, I worked in various fields and several companies during as well as after high school. In the many service and catering jobs that I held, I learned the importance of team play and polite comportment in a strict hierarchy. When working for Corris Fundraising AG, I became team leader within four weeks, presenting me with my first experiences in teaching as well as leading a small group. In my last year of school, I became sports teacher (accredited by the J+S) after a special training, where I was tested in managing and teaching a team to increase their performance.
 
When I went to the Swiss army tank grenadiers’ regiment, I further improved these skills, therefore gaining all the necessary recommendations from my superiors for an fifteen weeks’ specialists’ training and graduating as Sergeant after this time, before instructing my own team for the rest of my duty. I am confident that this experience has granted me an excellent understanding of hard work, how best to lead people and how to communicate in a correct manner.
 
After the Army, I spent several weeks gaining work experience at the EMPA Thun to prepare myself for the first year of studies in Nanosciences at the University of Basle. I was always fascinated by science, hence, my Matura paper was on physics where I achieved a mark of 5.5 out of 6. However, my expectations of the Nanosciences studies remained unfulfilled and I changed after the second semester to economics. There I was introduced into the world of business and rapidly discovered my strong personal entrepreneurial motivations. Therefore, together with my long standing friend Alain Szerdahelyi (Free Graphic Designer), I started to develop an old business idea of mine into concrete forms.
 
Driven by my ideas and supported by my girlfriend and my family, I was now ready to get the idea implemented. After first writing down the ideas and developing them further, I contacted several companies (Basel Area, inet, Business Park, FHSG IZSG, BlueTrac, etc), as well as individual people to get the help needed. My experience is that the best way to get hard facts with no misunderstandings is by talking to people directly.
 
Because I am at ease in communications and able to lead, as well as to create productive synergies, whilst interested in carrying responsibility and in the executive possibilities, the best opportunity for me is to have my own business, where I can be creative and succeed in building up something new. My personal interests lie in many different sectors, thus increasing my suitability to be in such a new, multifaceted field of actions.
