Thomas Ackermann Program Released, Registration Open! 3rd International Hybrid Power Systems Workshop, Tenerife/Spain
___WORKSHOP PROGRAM___
The preliminary program of the 3rd International Hybrid Power Systems Workshop in Tenerife, Spain from 8 - 9 May is now available online: http://hybridpowersystems.org/program/
With a total of 14 sessions the spectrum of topics included in the Workshop ranges from hybrid system technologies and system modelling/simulation to intelligent control and grid stabilization as well as Mini-/Micro-Grid system design. Storage Issues will be covered as well as economic issues. We are also happy to present many insightful presentations on international project experiences during two dedicated sessions that provide participants with hands-on-experience. They include presentations on the Faroe Islands, the Seychelles, the Galapagos Islands, Greenland, Bonaire, and Sri Lanka.
The opening session will focus on grid integration of renewables on the Canary Islands including the workshop host island Tenerife. The island El Hierro for example at times runs on a hundred percent renewable energies. Amongst others, Spanish TSO Red Eléctrica de España and the Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias will share their insights on the Canary Islands Power System.
