The Cultural Bridges in Germany Conference
“Strengthening Intercultural Relations in Germany through the Arts, Sports, Politics and the Economy”
(Berlin, November 7th – 9th, 2012 – Held parallel to “German Unity Day ")
"Cultural Bridges in Germany: A Forum for Young Leaders" (CBG) is a network of young individuals who share an interest in strengthening relations between Germany's cultural communities and between Germany and its international partners.
The October Conference, a large-scale event including six Young Leaders’ Forums all taking place simultaneously, will enable discussion about cultural bridges in Germany, as well as German relations with Turkey, Greece, Morocco, the UK, and Slovenia. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for the participants and speakers to discuss international relations with young leaders coming from the countries mentioned above, and will offer a wide diversity of perspectives on the issue of cultural bridges in Germany, as well as internationally.
The conference will consist of a series of simultaneous sessions of lectures, panel discussions, interactive roundtable discussions, seminars, group visits, excursions, and cultural activities. The conference will be held parallel to German Unity Day, and the participants will be able to participate in the official celebration and events, which will be a unique opportunity to learn more about the history and contemporary context of German unity.
