Heike Scholz Kooaba wins MobileMonday Demo Night
May, 19, 2008 – kooaba’s innovative mobile image recogni-tion wins with theMobileMonday Demo Night another competition.
Held in conjunction with Mobile Internet World 2008, this annual MobileMonday Demo Night was carried out today in Munich. The challenge consists of a 5 minutes live demo of the product in to an audience of industry experts. From the 10 competing finalists kooaba remained as the clear winner.
The jury, consisting of experts from several companies in the mobile space (e.g. members of Yankee Group, ProSiebenSat1 , AdMob etc.) as well as the public audience chose kooaba’s demo as their clear favourite among strong competitors.
Kooaba’s object recognition solution allows to link images and objects in the real world with the mobile Internet.

Kooaba’s service simplifies search in the mobile Internet: in-stead of tedious typing of keywords user will be able to send in images of real world objects taken with the integrated camera of the mobile phone. The object is then recognized and related digital content (e.g. information from wikipedia) is retourned to the user.
Billboards, Images, Advertising in Print Magazines, CD or DVD covers, paintings, buildings o rproducts in the super-marked– real world objects turn into links to the digital world and the mobile phone fullfills the functions of a computermouse.
Several well knownbrands such as Cellity AG, EMI-Music Schweiz, EasyJet and die Edipresse Groupe are already using kooaba’s innovative mobile marketing solutions.
