Key Responsibilities of the job:
We are looking for a Big Data Engineer having more than 5 years of experience. The role requires experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment in Big Data frameworks and technologies.
He or she should have hands-on experience in designing and building big data lake/warehouse for data integration from enterprise wide applications/systems along with maintaining data pipelines, with a focus on writing scalable, clean, and fault-tolerant code to handle disparate data sources.
He should have ability to combine strong analytical and technical skills with business skills to convey clear updates with a wide range of stakeholders and should be a team player.
He or she should have Experience in Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
Skills & Experience:
The Ideal candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in Big Data & Analytics. He or she should have excellent communication skills and should know how to engage and communicate with senior client leadership effectively, stakeholder on Director/C-Level acting as trusted advisor.
He or she should have skills/ experience in one or more the following:
4+ years of experience in BigData components with strong understanding of core components Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Storm/Flink and Spark framework
2+ years of very strong Python/Scala development and unit testing experience
Good hands on experience in building Real-time streaming data pipelines using Kafka Storm/FLink
Good experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines (Python, Spark) and data sets to ingest and transform data for analytics and machine learning
Good Experience in CI/CD process and Dev ops tools such as GIT/Jenkins/Maven
Experience with at-least one of the major Hadoop distributions (Preferably Hortonworks)
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases including Hbase/Cassandra, ElasticSearch
Experience in handling Avro, JSON, Parquet and ORC data formats
Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (good to have).
Detail-oriented analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
Qualifications and Certifications:
Fluent in English. Swedish can be an added advantage
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Applications
Certification in Big Data relevant technologies
