DGFF Industrial Projects: DHL Industrial Projects (IP) is part of DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) Integrated Solutions specialized in handling project logistics, such as single move or ad-hoc shipments, capital projects and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) including global multi-supplier management, from pick-up through consolidation and delivery to fabrication facilities and final project jobsites. Job Purpose:

Develop and administer tailor made project plans and processes to deliver efficient logistics processes and results in the supply chain of a specific client using multimodal means of transportation and provide support to sales team in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies

Principal accountabilities:

• Execute custom made operations plans and processes to deliver efficient logistics processes
• Support tender and sales team during tender process with operational and technical input
• Support local country operations teams as a subject matter expert or project manager
• Promptly respond to customer enquiries, including conducting customer visits and understanding of customer requirements
• Resolve issues occurring in operational activities, report to management on events and exceptions, as necessary
• Draft reports related to customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery/service problems, etc. and evaluate efficiency of operational performance and delivery
• Interact with other logistics operations departments to ensure smooth operations
• Comply with operating standards and procedures to provide cost-effective, superior and efficient customer service
• Study and resolve issues in day-to-day customer operations and execute practices focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• Subject matter expert who applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
• Manage projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision
• Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
• May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
• Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers
• Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise customers and key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification

Experience Level: more than 6 years as project manager or site manager preferably with wind experience
