We are looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join a major digital transformation program within the energy sector. This role focuses on the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure , contributing to the modernization of IT infrastructures and applications.

Your Role

As a Cloud Solution Architect , you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing cloud-based environments. Your mission will include:

• Designing and developing dynamic, scalable, stable, and cost-effective cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.
• Analyzing and assessing existing architectures, providing recommendations for transformation or optimization.
• Advising on the development or modernization of cloud-based applications and system landscapes.
• Defining best practices for cloud operations with a focus on security, compliance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency , and ensuring adherence to these standards.
• Identifying automation opportunities and defining rules and standards for cloud operations automation.
• Translating business and application requirements into modern, efficient cloud architectures.
• Collaborating closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in designing and validating cloud-based architectures .
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture in public cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) as well as traditional data centers.
• Relevant Azure certifications are a plus.
• Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives in both English and German .
• Experience in vendor management and coordination of service providers.
• Flexible, quick learner with strong customer orientation and proactive mindset.
• Passionate communicator who inspires confidence and engagement.
• High degree of self-initiative and ownership.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of database operations and administration , both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and IT service management (ITIL).
• Understanding of data protection , cybersecurity , and ISMS requirements .
