Your responsibilities

To enhance DB Schenker's vision and IT Governance' strategic direction, a new IT Governance organization structure will be implemented.

For our location in Frankfurt am Main / Germany we are looking for a Regional IT Financial Manager (f/m).

In your role as Regional IT Financial Manager you will have to ensure effective and efficient operational IT financial management for the European Head Office in strong alignment with the global Head of IT Financial Management as well as regional CFO department. You will be disciplinary and functionally reporting to the Head of IT Governance Region Europe.

Supporting the IT planning process, including rolling forecast within the region
Supporting cluster & country IT management of region Europe regarding management, integration and alignment of their IT budgets within global IT
Supporting regional IT functions (incl. COEs) regarding management, integration and alignment of their IT budgets within region Europe; in alignment with clusters and global functions
Managing, integration and alignment of regional Head Office IT Finances in close alignment with regional CFO department
Controlling of IT-projects, IT-services & IT cost centers with regional scope
Verifying IT spend against budget
Review of investments, as well as planning of capex and depreciations as well as supporting in regards to quality assurance within the approval process of IT investments
Providing monthly and year-end functional reporting, including related delta analysis for global IT
Supporting the steering of the IT saving program, benefits realization & performance mgmt.
?Clarifying of questions related to IT cost accounting, including accruals, capitalization and year-end closure
Identifying of IT cost drivers and cost reduction potentials
Provide IT employee & PersEx planning and align with employee repository
Reviewing of regional IT personnel requisitions against sourcing strategy and saving programs
Maintain and monitor regional FTE repository
Consulting in business case creation for IT projects and IT initiatives, incl. benchmark activities
Support in Purchase Order Requisition processes and invoice handling for regional Head Office IT functions

To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/ display the following key skills/ attributes:

Experience
A University degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems or economics with a focus on finance/Controlling or equivalent education
Three to four years' experience in (IT) Controlling or Financial Management
General knowledge of IT
Knowledge of industry standards, frameworks and methodologies in the area of IT Governance (COBIT) is preferred.

Personal Skills
Strong communication and social competencies combined with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and IT stakeholders throughout the region
Experience of working in an Intercultural environment, within area of responsibility (must), outside / globally (ideally)
Competence in both analytical/conceptual and Hands-on practice
Languages: Fluent in English, oral & written (must), fluent in German, oral & written (desirable)
Personality profile: integrity, initiative & commitment, self reliance, flexibility, ability to work under high pressure, integrative, persistency, assertiveness
