We are looking for an empathetic Senior Manager, Business Development who understands the mobile monetization ecosystem, is eager to close deals with international Publishers and a professional consultant to potential clients. You are not only a good listener with excellent time management skills but have exceptional verbal, written, communication and presentation skills to impress any potential client. As a product evangelist you educate Publishers on the latest technology of advertising and consult on monetization strategies by sharing your knowledge and experience.

You are responsible for bringing new clients, consulting app developers and Publishers, understanding their needs and finding personalized solutions using Smaato’s technology to address the Publisher’s pain points and help them increase their advertising revenues.

Keeping clear revenue related goals in mind you work through road blocks independently and are a true team player. Good problem-solving skills with a high level of integrity demonstrated through solid work ethic are essential.

Your key responsibilities:

  • You identify and research European Publishers relationships that fit with Smaato’s product strategy.
  • Besides developing strategies on how to engage new partners, you align business opportunities to assure the establishment of strong, long-term partnerships, and that new clients’ available inventory is maximized optimally.
  • You develop an understanding of potential clients’ business, products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, competitors and sales.
  • In collaboration with Legal and your direct supervisor you negotiate contracts and close new business deals.
  • After closing a deal you support a new client on the initial integration and monitor their satisfaction levels.
  • You keep abreast of all business and mobile technology advances in the marketplace.
  • You work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales Engineering, Account Management, Legal, Product, and Marketing.
  • All the fun part needs to be documented; this is done and managed in the CRM system, Salesforce.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in consultative selling in the ad-tech industry; in-app experience would be the cream of the crop!
  • Due to this being a Sales position, you have proven excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills in your current role.
  • You are used to meet or exceed your sales quota.
  • You can organize your daily workload and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota and conducting accurate forecasts.
  • You have developed a consultative solution-based sales approach and the ability to scrutinize client needs.
  • Experience in Salesforce would be beneficial.
  • You are a doer, empty words is nothing you stand for, instead you transform ideas into action items.
  • It might be a given but here at Smaato we really do expect a Senior Manager, Business Development to be highly self-motivated, resilient, target driven, confident and determined!
