In the Digital Development team, we are developing the software for the future of Conrad. Agility, an iterative approach, continuous improvement and open feedback are on our agenda. In an environment with Scrum teams at various locations, modern tools, cloud computing and state-of-the-art technologies, we support our business strategies at the cutting edge.

Activities

• Operating and further developing the infrastructure of our e-commerce platform
• Ensuring the performance, scalability and security of our online systems
• Automation of DevOps processes
• Interface between Development and SRE e.g. implementation of SRE best practices, optimization of CI/CD pipelines, performance improvement of DB queries, ...
• Focus on administration and optimization of our postgres databases
• Supporting the development teams in the operation of their applications and services of the Conrad sourcing platform in a scaled agile setup 
• 24/7 on-call duty (on average one week per month)
• Coordination and coordination of our partners with regard to the operation of third-party systems

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or business informatics, training as an IT specialist or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of Linux, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, networking and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Very good knowledge of monitoring infrastructure and applications
• 5 years of experience with GitLab CI/CD and database administration (SQL and NoSQL)
• Mindset of a Site Reliability Engineer; through targeted measures you have improved platform availability to 99.9X %.
• Experience working with large dev teams (100+), paired with a deep understanding of development processes - and proven success in optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with high-traffic e-commerce systems
• Solution-oriented and creative mindset
