Overview

ProPursuit is currently looking for an experienced Ruby Developer to work on an AI platform focused within the food tech industry.

This position will allow fully remote work within Germany and the candidate must speak fluent German and English.

Your role:

• Development and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications, including the implementation of new features and the optimization of existing codebases.
• Management and optimization of the Postgres database, including data modelling, performance monitoring and tuning, and data migrations.
• Participation in DevOps tasks, including deployment of application releases, development and maintenance of microservices in Kubernetes, and execution of database migrations.
• Development and integration of interfaces to external POS and merchandise management systems to optimize data exchange and system communication.

Your profile:

• Completed computer science studies or comparable training
• Solid experience in Ruby on Rails development
• Extensive knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.
• Sound knowledge of Test-Driven Development
• Knowledge of developing in an AWS environment (e.g., RDS) is advantageous
• Independent, analytical, structured, and meticulous work style.
• Strong service and customer orientation.
• Team spirit and resilience.
• Excellent written and spoken German (at least C1 level) and English (at least B2 level)
