As the trusted sparring partner, we collaborate closely to address and manage these risks effectively, ensuring a strong foundation for the company's success.
- Conduct day-to-day compliance third-party due diligence checks with an anti-corruption and sanction focus, working independently to provide expert guidance to BioNTech’s internal functions across the global organization on identified risks and effective mitigation strategies.
- Advise on the compliance implications of global industry (research) collaborations, M&A transactions, and joint venture deals, performing corresponding, tailored compliance due diligence assessments in close coordination with interdisciplinary global project teams.
- Serve as a dedicated Compliance Business Partner, offering advice on both specific compliance third-party management and general compliance and business ethics related topics and inquiries.
- Review and verify potential matches identified through IT-based background monitoring and take appropriate follow-up actions independently.
- Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of BioNTech’s global compliance third-party risk management processes, policies, and relevant internal training initiatives.
- A university degree (or equivalent) in Law (including Bachelor/Master), Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in conducting due diligence projects, ideally with a focus on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and/or within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or biotech industry, is essential.
- A meticulous and conscientious approach to work is paired with pragmatism, independence, reliability, and integrity.
- A supportive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset is key, along with enthusiasm for working in an international business environment. Confidence in collaborating on cross-border projects and teams is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are necessary. Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.
