Lead System Engineer for the Eurodrone Mission System (d/f/m)
Your location
Workplace will be Ingolstadt, at least 3 days per week on-site. Home office available upon agreement.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Within the Mission Systems organization, we want to incorporate to our team a Systems Engineer for the Eurodrone Program.
The capabilities and the added value to our customers are based on Sensor Management, Mission Planning, Image Processing, Data Analysis/Processing/Dissemination, Communications management,
etc. That is, being at the core of Future Airborne and Ground Systems.
Ability to lead all Systems engineering activities in order to deliver safe, reliable, mature and cost effective solutions to the customers.
Ability to analyze customer requirements and lead transformation into a design solution.
Be responsible to specify, define, design, develop, integrate, verify, qualify, certify and ensure the continued airworthiness of the vehicle mission systems used to perform different kind of missions
Responsibility for the integration and management of specific equipment and systems (both airborne and ground segments, at hardware and functional level) necessary in the system to perform its intended missions.
Ability to specify and carry out all the laboratory, ground and flight tests and support documentation required for the development, certification and validation in front of the customer of the Mission Systems, Mission Planning and Mission Support Systems, including On-site Operational Evaluations.
Provide guidance and lead the full lifecycle of Mission Systems.
Capability to assess innovative technologies and architectures, to deliver independent cost benefit analysis (manufacturer and operator related).
Desired skills and qualifications
Master in Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
Minimum 5 years professional experience in Systems Engineering activities.
Knowledge of requirements management (with DOORS) involving other disciplines such as software engineering
Experience in Mission Planning including flight and payload planning in segregated and non-segregated airspace
Experience in implementing regulations and standards like DO178/278, 254, ARP4754 etc.
Knowledge in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience in digital ICD design tools (e.g. CAMEO, ICDMS or others) would be a plus
Experience in working using agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe) and Tools (e.g. JIRA and Confluence) is recommended.
Good Team player is a must and management skills for supplier monitoring is also recommended.
Language skills: Fluency in English. German recommended.
